摘要

The results are presented for measuring the amplitude of standing capillary wave causing the flooding of floating metal balls. The equation of spherical-particle motion on the liquid surface is derived with regard for displacement of the three-phase contact perimeter. Calculated wave amplitude, at which a spherical particle separates from the gas-liquid interface, is satisfactorily consistent with the experimental data.
