摘要

New types of two-dimensional thermodynamicstability diagrams were presented to predict high temperaturecorrosion behavior of multi-component alloys in mixed oxidantenvironments. The new stability diagrams were constructed bycomputer-assisted phase equilibria calculations of the multi-component reacting systems. The usefulness of the new stabilitydiagrams is discussed with the Fe-Cr alloys in oxidizing –chloridizing environments. The new stability of ternary phasessuch as FeCr_2O_4, which cannot be obtained from theconventional stability diagrams. Using reaction paths on the newstability diagrams, more mechanistic predictions can be made forthe mixed corrosion behavior of alloys.
