摘要

Investigations were carried out for three consecutive years (2006-2008) at Seed Technology and Production Centre of Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan. The study revealed that minimum number of red pumpkin beetles (1.64 adults/plant) and minimum leaf infestation (14.57%) caused by serpentine leaf miner were recorded with soil application of carbofuran @ 500 g a.i./ha at the time of sowing followed by seed treated with thiamethoxam 70WS @ 3g/kg seed and dusting with rice husk ash @ 30 kg/ha. Maximum number of fruits (16.53 fruits/plant), fruit weight (7.19 kg/plant), fruits yield (106.13 q/ha) and benefit: cost ratio (1.75) were also recorded in carbofuran.
