In the past and present centuries, movie actors with treated or untreated acromegaly and gigantism have played in several well-known movies. John Aasen [1890, Hennepin County (Minnesota, USA) - 1938, Mendoci-no (California, USA)], also know as "the Minneapolis Giant", or "the Norwegian Giant", height: 2.13-2.33 m (7 ft 0-9 in) was the first actor with acromegaly/gigantism who worked in the movie industry and became famous for playing the role of "Colosso" in the Harold Lloyd movie "Why Worry?" (1923).
