Commentary: Endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms with severe neck angulation

Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is now considered a safe and effective treatment modality for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Nonetheless, despite device advancements and improvements in surgical techniques, EVAR remains indicated only in patients with appropriate anatomy. Certain aortic neck characteristics may preclude the use of EVAR with commercially available endografts and can adversely affect outcomes.
