摘要

In the present paper, a finite element analysis is made to study the variable temperature and mass diffusion effects on free convection flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past an oscillating infinite vertical plate. The governing coupled with non linear partial differential equations in dimensionless form are solved by Gelerken finite element method. The velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are discussed, analysed and graphically presented for various parameters such as phase-angle, Schmidt number, Prandtl number and time. The stuy found that an increase in the phase angle leads to an increase in the velocity of the fluid. It is also noted that the temperature and concentration of the fluid decrease for an increasing values of the Prandtl and Schmidt number respectively.
