摘要

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in Baltimore, Maryland, think so. They studied the safety and feasibility of using video games to complement regular physical therapy in the intensive care unit (ICU) and were pleased with the results.Interactive video games already are known to improve motor function in recovering stroke patients. The leap to their use with ICU patients is not so farfetched, according to the JHU researchers. Study leader Michelle E. Kho, PT, PhD, assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins, thinks that such games could be a helpful addition for therapy.
