Multi-attribute group decision-making method based on generalized aggregation operators in trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic variables

With respect to multi-attribute group decision-making problems in which attribute values are trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic variables, this paper presents a new multi-attribute group decision-making method based on generalized operators in trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic variables. Firstly, we introduce the concept of the trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic variable, and its properties, operational laws and sorting method based on possibility degree. Then, we propose generalized operators in trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic variables, including generalized trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic weighted averaging operator, generalized trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic ordered weighted averaging operator and generalized trapezoidal fuzzy linguistic hybrid averaging operator. Furthermore, the multi-attribute group decision-making method based on these operators is developed. Finally, an illustrative example is given to illustrate the decision-making steps, and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.
