Japanese flat product exporters back down

The situation in the flat product market is unfavourable for Japanese exporters. Amid lower buying activity of some regional customers (incl. those from South Korea and Taiwan) and a decrease in scrap prices ($6/t in a week), exporters have had no choice but to reduce quotations. Thus, prices for CRC and plates have been reduced by $10/t in a week, while those for HRC and HDG have stayed unchanged.
