Construction activity has somewhat slowed in Iraq as the adoption of 2013 budget has been postponed for it to be revised. Despite that and having enough rebar in stock, some local traders continue restocking amid favourable prospects for further developments in the market. Other trading companies prefer to study the situation more carefully. Although foreign suppliers are holding prices flat so far, they are still aiming to raise them amid costlier import scrap in Turkey.
