South Africa’s Assmang cuts iron ore output in H2 2012

Assmang’s H2 2012 output and sales of iron ore dipped comparing with H1, down by 7% to 7.7 mt and 6% to 7.4 mt respectively, but increased comparing to the year-earlier period, by 20% and 10% respectively. The product range includes 64.5 Fe fines, 65.5% Fe lumps and 65% Fe lump ore for DRI production.
