Chinese wire rod exporters to lift prices until end-June

There are signs of increases in China’s wire rod prices considering a $8-9/t rise in import iron ore prices over the twoweek period. Stockists’ domestic rods offers have not changed over the week, whereas square billet has gained $5/t (RMB 30/t) including slight currency fluctuations. However, as import iron ore quotations are expected to slide again by the end of the week, foreign clients are holding back on bookings awaiting further drops.
