Demand for import billet extremely poor in Iran

Demand for import square billet has been thin ahead of the New Year holidays in Iran. Although local buyers having low stocks have expressed interest in offers, they are still quite careful with purchases as the international sanctions make import financing problematic. Market players hope for positive results of the next round of Iran nuclear talks with the world six powers which will be held in Almaty on April 5-6. Construction segment remains sluggish as well.
