Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana (CVG, Venezuela) and China Minmetals Engineering Co. (China) are considering to sign a contract for two projects to expand capacity of La Siderurgica del Orinoco Alfredo Maneiro (Sidor) plant located in Bolivar state, Venezuela. According to the press release issued by the Venezuelan government, major investments will be channeled into installation of an additional conticaster with a capacity of 550,000 t of round billet per year. The output will cover needs of the country’s oil and gas industry.
