Malaysia’s Eastern Steel may resume slab production on agreement with China’s Angang Group

Malaysia’s sole slab producer Eastern Steel may resume production idled in October last year thanks tocooperation with China’s Angang Group Hong Kong. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) on June 15. They are also going to explore equity participation, expanding Eastern Steel’s capacitiesand product range.
