Several new solutions and vacuums, as well as one cleaning system, have been added to the Carpet and Rug Institute's (CRI) Seal of Approval (SOA) program recently. In the Solutions category, Basic Carpet Care of Lawrence, Kan., added its first solution to the SOA program: Responsible Care? Spotter spot remover. The 3M Building and Commercial Services Division of St. Paul, Minn., earned certification for its 3M~(TM) Scotchguard~(TM) Extraction Cleaner 27H in-tank solution and its 3M~(TM) Scotchguard~(TM) Extraction Cleaner 28H pre-spray. To be inducted into the CRTs Seal of Approval program, solutions (spot removers, pre-sprays and in-tank solutions) must undergo rigorous testing by an independent laboratory that evaluates stain removal, re-soiling, pH and colorfastness.
