Love may make the world go 'round, but when the subject is a business, money matters. The fond attachment that grows from nurturing a business can never substitute for a healthy bottom line. Of course, a viable business may still encounter an obstacle to cash flow. Take the months after 9/11 when uncertainty and system disruptions impeded the normal movement of payments in many places. (The Internal Revenue Service actually extended the deadline for estimated tax payments due in September 2001.)
