Daido Steel Develops World's Strongest Isotropic Bonded Magnet

Daido Steel said June 20 that the company has developed samarium-iron-nitrogen isotropic bonded magnet with the world's strongest magnetic force -14MGOe, which is also excellent in resistance against corrosion and heat. The company has five patents pending on this product. Daido will assign production and sales of the magnet to Daido Electronics, a subsidiary, and plans to double magnet sales of the group to more than 18 billion yen in fiscal 2007 including new products to be released in future.
