A New Species of the Genus Zaitzeviaria (Coleoptera, Elmidae) from Tsushima Islands, Japan

A new elmid species, Zaitzeviaria kuriharai, is described from Tsushima Is., West Japan. A key to the species of the Japanese Zaitzeviaria is provided. NOMURA (1959) established the genus Zaitzeviaria as a subgenus of Zaitzevia CHAMPION, 1923 based onthree Japanese species. Later, it was raised to an independent genus by the same author (NOMURA, 1961). Subsequently, DELEVE (1968, 1970) and SATO (1977) described additional species, and in the present time Zaitzeviaria consists of 16 species from Asian region. In the following lines, we are going to describe a new additional species of the genus from Tsushima Islands, Nagasaki prefecture, with a key to the species of Zaitzeviaria in Japan.
