Variations of the parameters and shape of the excess pressure profile, including its frontal part, have been studied fairly well for the reduced distances i?# > 50 m/kg1/3 from the center of explosions near the Earth's surface (/?# = Rlqm, where R is the distance and q is the trinitrotoluene (TNT) equivalent). In this range, the shape of the excess pressure profile changes from triangular to sinusoidal at distances about R* ~ 300 m/kg1/3. The frontal region for small distances has been studied to a lesser degree, i.e., R* < 50 m/kg1/3, where the blast.
