A study was conducted to demonstrate changes in the internal structure of metal crystals under the effect of migration of grain boundaries (GB). It was demonstrated that a polygonization with the formation of crystallites free of a substructure occurred upon heating in the deformed metal first. It was found that some of these crystallites had been converted into recrystallization centers upon such heating. All the boundaries of the recrystallization nuclei moved upon primary recrystallization due to the large driving force, with a maximum velocity. The driving force of recrystallization was specified by the preliminary deformation of the metal. It was demonstrated that the misorientation in the primary-recrystallization grains needed to increase with increasing degree of preliminary deformation.
