The Benambra copper and base metal mine near Omeo is a step closer to reopening after the completion of a scoping study into the possible recommencement of the Wilga workings and development of the Currawong deposit by Jabiru Metals Ltd. Work on reviewing technical issues such as data reclamation, resource model integrity and metallurgical consistency are high priorities for the company. The company has also held a series of liaison meetings and briefings with relevant Victorian Government agencies and local government.
