Mico Inc., the North Mankato, Minn., manufacturer of brake systems, hydraulic components and controls for the off-road equipment markets, has developed a new hydraulic disc brake for service brake applications. The 520 Series hydraulic apply caliper disc brake is a fixed caliper-type unit that uses a modulated hydraulic pressure source, such as a master cylinder, to control brake torque. It can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal position, and linings can be replaced without removing the brake, the company said.
