In a deal that underlines China's continued goal of acquiring prestigious overseas brands, Shandong Heavy Industry Group-Weichai Group (SHIG-Weichai), is acquiring a 75% stake in the Italian yacht builder Ferretti Group. The Shandong Heavy Industry Group-Weichai Group manufactures construction and agricultural equipment, power systems, commercial vehicles and auto parts and is also the parent company of diesel engine maker Weichai Power Co. Ltd.
