In August, the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) officially inaugurated and began operations of the Lodi Energy Center (LEC) in Lodi, California, U.S.A. The LEC refers both to the name of the new electrical generating unit and the complex where it is located, some 61 km south of the state capitol in Sacramento and 135 km east of San Francisco.
