A New Scout In The Water: Catamaran survey vessel features Cat quad propulsion

Quad propulsion engines are not that rare; most crew/supply vessels have four to six identical engines in order to attain speeds over 30 knots. However, the vast majority of these are of a monohull design. What makes the Sea Scout unique is that it is a 40.9 × 11.2 m, all-aluminum catamaran design survey vessel with a Caterpillar-powered quad propulsion system. It is believed to be the first catamaran to feature quad propeller propulsion, the company said.
