Improve catalytic cracking to produce clean fuels

Over the next two to five years,refiners will shift process emphasis to produce cleaner fuels.For diesel,this means low sulfur contents and limited aromatics as cetane numbers of 50 or more will be required.Gasoline sulfur levels of 10 to 25 ppm and limited olefins,benzene and aromatic concentrations are part of the new regulations.Table 1 lists fuels specifications for the US and Western Europe.
