Whether in petrochemical facilities,gas transmission pipelines or LNG facilities,the compressor systems are some of the most critical pieces of the equipment in the entire plant.For example,in an LNG facility,the refrigerant compressors can cost on the order of50M each.This is a sizeable investment that requires the latest technology in order to gain the optimum efficiency from the compressor and turbine driver while also protecting the compressor from failure during an upset condition.
