The effects of liquid calcium fertilizer (LCF) extracted from oyster shell on the calcium contents and fruit quality during the storage of grape fruits were studied. The calcium contents in leaf blade and petiole of 'Campbell Early' and leaf blade,petiole and stem of 'Kyoho" were increased, but fruit peel showed no difference between LCF-treated and non-treated. There were no differences of berry number, berry weight, soluble solids contents, and acidity between the fruits of two cullivars. The cluster weight of 'Kyoho' was increased by LCF treatment. The weight loss of 'Kyoho" fruit after 60 days of cold storage was reduced by both LCF vine-spray and combined cluster dipping treatment. Berry shattering of 'Kyoho' and 'Campbell Early' fruits after 90 days of storage by LCF treatment were significantly decreased. However, fruit cracking and decaying were not observed. Soluble solids contents of fruit after 15 days of storage increased by fruit dipping and combined vine-spray treatments of LCF. but soluble solids contents and acidity after 90 days of storage showed no difference.
