Dynamic Scheduling Policy based on job and workload characteristics

The increase in quality requirements of users and to maximize the system performance has led to the development of parallel job schedulers. The objective of scheduling is to minimize the completion time of application by allocating the tasks to processors and sequencing the execution of the tasks. These schedulers are designed to match the requirements and workload with resource availability in terms of basic architecture and processors. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the scheduling policy that is dynamic in nature and allocate the available processing power by making proper use of job characteristics.
