Many greenhouse hobbyists are intimidated by the whole,concept of hydroponics. Sure, hydroponics has the potential for fantastic production, such as twelve times tomato fruiting compared to growing in soil, but that requires precise nutrient formulations. But, backing off from maximum performance just a little opens up possibilities for significantly improved growth while still being well within the capabilities and interest level of most hobbyists. And the automation I describe below takes care of feeding the plants with a few minutes attention only a couple of times a week.
