OATLANDS HISTORIC 1810 GREENHOUSE

Avisit to the Oatlands National Trust Historic site allowed us the opportunity to see the second oldest greenhouse in the United States dating back to 1810. The greenhouse main frame and glass have been updated over the years and today it is used to overwinter many of the planters at Oatlands. The real story of the greenhouse is its original stone and brick work and the unique way the greenhouse was heated and cooled back in the day.
