Brazil's Petrobras Eyes Global Export Market for Ethanol

Rio de Janeiro - Brazil's state-run oil firm Petrobras is preparing to ship ethanol to Venezuela next month and looking to expand exports to Asia and North America, the company's downstream director said at the Hart World Refining & Fuels Conference here. Petrobras plans to send its first ethanol shipment to Venezuela in July, with a second delivery scheduled for August, Paulo Roberto Costa told us on the sidelines of the Hart conference. Venezuela is turning to ethanol as it phases lead out of gasoline.
