Industry Groups Often at Odds, Join to Decry Tighter Ozone Standard

An alliance of trade associations, including those representing oil and ethanol producers, joined in opposing the U.S. EPA's proposal to tighten the nation's ozone standard. Among the groups are the American Petroleum Institute (API), the Corn Refiners' Association and the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) are on record challenging the science behind tightening the standard.
