Ontology Based Semantic Searching in Digital Library

摘要

Metadata is one of the most important technologies supporting information searching and digital library building. It solved the problem of digital resource description, management and search. But the current metadata schemes are insufficient in presenting the semantic of the information. In this paper, an ontology based metadata and semantic information searching method are put forward. The model of metadata ontology and ontology based metadata are designed. Two types of semantic search systems has been designed and one was developed and tested in the university digital library building.
