Helping the search for a rare hidden mineral

When British Fluorspar re-opened its Southern Pennine orefield mine almost two years ago it soon turned to the Watson-Marlow Pumps Group for positive displacement pumps. The only UK-based fluorspar producer, British Fluorspar, was eager to upgrade the quality of its pumps at the new-look site to improve its business - and to carry on the search for acid grade fluorspar (fluorite), the rare industrial mineral found solely within the Peak District National Park.
