Italian integrated oil company Eni reported Friday that it lost ?874 million (U.S. $1.1 billion) in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to earnings of ?3 billion (U.S. $3.9 billion) in the same quarter 2007. For the entire year, Eni earned ?8.8 billion (U.S. $11.3 billion), down 11.8% from its earnings in 2007.
