Change at Sakhalin LNG

Russian state-run Gazprom will take over the top job at the consortium developing the huge Sakhalin-2 project on Russia's Pacific shelf in second-half 2007,as the current head of Sakhalin Energy,Royal Dutch Shell-appointed Ian Craig,has said he plans to step down once it begins shipping LNG.Gazprom has owned 50% plus one share in the venture since April,while Shell has 27.5%,Mitsui 12.5% and Mitsubishi 10%.
