US, Cariadian Storage Hears Record Finale

North American natural gas prices continued to hit then retreat from year highs this week as the market focus starts to shift to longer term fundamentals that point to a future supply-demand balance that would rein in the storage glut and allow prices to move into a much more sustainable range of $4-$5 per million Btu. Bulls have been heartened by forecasts for early November that promise the first true winter weather of the season in the east-em US, with freezing temperatures as far south as northern Georgia. That should go a long way toward offsetting normal storage additions, and could produce a small build a week earlier than normal.
