There may yet be hope for Indonesia's ailing Bontang LNG plant as the government is becoming more flexible on exporting domestic gas as LNG,according to state Pertamina's chief executive,Ari Soemarno,in an interview with World Gas Intelligence in Jakarta on Monday.Pertamina's Bontang LNG plant has consistently failed to meet export obligations to major customers Japan,South Korea and Taiwan due to insufficient gas supplies from suppliers Total,BP-Eni venture Vico and Chevron in Bontang's surrounding East Kalimantan gas fields(WGI Aug.2,'06,p3).
