The US storage glut is weighing heavily on North American gas prices. Even a historic blizzard that buried major markets in the US Northeast in up to one meter of snow barely moved the price needle as the February Nymex futures contract moved closer to expiration on Jan. 27. And while cold weather across Europe has been draining EU inventories, prices there are also near six-year lows.
