Short On New LNG, Eni Digs In On UFG

Eni Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni has vowed both to challenge a Spanish ruling that Gas Natural (GN) may take over a 50% stake in its Union Fenosa Gas (UFG) joint venture and to retain Eni's Italian infrastructure holdings. But the company won't start up any new LNG projects before 2012.
