US Sees Slack LNG Third Quarter

US LNG imports dropped sharply in the third quarter,as a relatively cool summer and record levels of gas in storage depressed demand,keeping netbacks low.The US took in an average of 1.7 billion cubic feet per day in the third quarter (or 3.2 million tons of LNG),down from 2 Bcf/d in the previous quarter,according to US Department of Energy data and US Waterborne LNG estimates.
