WAI's return to Mexico for an international technical conference proved to be an ideal event, with a combination of a versatile technical program, a wide range of exhibitor offerings and networking opportunities at the Hacienda Jurica in Queretaro. The event was sponsored by ANTAAC, a Mexican wire producers association. Eduardo Anaya, a consultant who was a co-chairman of the local committee for the event, said he was pleased at the range of what was offered. He said that many attendees of the technical program, which featured 22 presentations in four themes (wiredrawing, properties, practices and products) and general topics, were also able to spend time at the tabletop exhibits and to take advantage of other networking opportunities.
