For welding high and very high yield strength steels, depending on the type and thickness used, it is essential to: Use suitable preheating, heat input, interpasstemperature and any heat destressing treatments. With FCAW, SAW and MMA processes, preferably use "basic" welding products, or in any case those with diffusible hydrogen less than 5 ml/100 g of deposit. Use products with at least the same resilience values as the plate being welded.
