It's that time of year again... WHEN FLAPS GET IN A FLAP

It's that time of year again, when ACNV systems - which may well have been open for weeks or months during the warm weather - have to start working for a living again. This is a pretty good time to have a good look at them and check they are working properly. This is the time of year when it's still moderately warm during the day, and so flaps are still open. So you may not notice if the system is not working, but the pigs do, in the middle of the night when temperature drops and they get a chill. Infinishing sheds especially, flaps or curtains are often open for long periods because they can't actually control temperature. During the summer - and especially if you use low set temperatures - inside temperature is largely determined by outside. In which case, how your controller is set up may not make a big difference.
