An algal monitoring protocol: The strategic link between reservoir and treatment process

摘要

Eutrophication as well as the removal of algae by the drinking water industry received dedicated attention in past three decades. An interdisciplinary approach will assist catchment and water purification managers to work to the same future - algal blooms in reservoirs dominated by the "ideal algae" which can be removed by conventional unit treatment processes. This paper will provide a futuristic picture of resource and product quality management, based on a historic perspective of eutrophication and algal removal research. (C) 1998 IAWQ.
