I'm very pleased to provide you with a snapshot of the North American mushroom business, to give you an update on what we're doing at Money's Mushrooms and to share with you some of my thoughts on what it will take to continue to thrive in our business as we near the close of the twentieth century. There's an old adage that the one constant in life is change. I believe that this has never been more the case than over the last decade, as the concept of globalisation has become a day-to-day reality for all businesses. All good management advice during the 90s has counselled business leaders to meet the challenges of a global marketplace by maintaining a broad global perspective while not losing sight of local market needs. We've all attempted to look at our businesses and products through the eyes of a diverse consumer base and to remain responsive to changing trends and market demands. All this points to a need to be nimble, alert and innovative. The one thing that I don't believe many of us understood was the rate of change that is required to stay out in front and be successful. The imposition, of "24-hour-a-day real time" that Internet based communications has delivered, means that there's no resting. All of us must be ready to make changes and refinements to our businesses instantly or be left behind.
