After leaving Sparsholt Agricultural College and having spent some time working at Axbridge Mushrooms, Avon, and 18 months at Tunnel Tech as a trainee composter, Jonathan took over this farm in November 1990. At that time he had a small amount of capital and the farm was growing mushrooms in bags inside four former chicken houses. Expansion soon came from bringing into use one more chicken house.
