Transnational conception for preventive flood protection in the Oder catchment

The project "Transnational conception for spatial planning of flood prevention in the Oder catchment area - ODERREGIO" is funded by the joint initiative Interreg IIC of the European Commission. Fundamental principles and targets for preventive floodprotection were jointly developed and approved by workers from the Republic of Poland, Czech Republic and Germany and then integrated into a cooperative planning process. For seven areas first recommendations for opportunities of implementation were given. The project will be continued within the scope of Interreg IIIB and PHARE. The goal is a concrete action program for preventive flood protection.
